SCROLL DOWN

niyar

In a white paper mountain, she sits. Alone with her thoughts. After hours and hours of writing, anything may happen. The lines between desperation and hope, dream and reality, begin to blur. Love feels like the paper around her — crumpled.

Suddenly, the paper around her awakens and begins to move. The sun rises in the universe of imagination. Niyar is a world within a world. A story within her story. It is about love, loss, and the longing for fulfillment. Hard work in an imperfect world makes us sad. Simple feelings of love make us happy. In Niyar, sadness and despair tear a paper soul apart.

Maayan Iungman shapes a poetic alternate reality — or perhaps this reality shapes her. Niyar reveals the gap between the desire to create and the moment when the inner spirit takes the lead. The moment when control is released, judgment is set aside — and creation begins. Without a single word.
