Maayan Iungman is a multidisciplinary visual artist, performer, director, and puppeteer, creating poetic worlds that blend movement, objects, materials, and imagination. Her work exists at the crossroads of visual theatre and puppetry, with performance serving as a subtle yet meaningful layer, where images speak louder than words.
Driven by curiosity and a deep connection to materials, Maayan explores themes of transformation, fragility, freedom, and inner journeys. Her creations are known for their delicate aesthetics, strong visual language, and emotional depth, inviting audiences of all ages into intimate, dreamlike experiences.
Maayan performs internationally and presents her work at festivals, theatres, and cultural spaces around the world. She is the creator and performer of NIYAR – A Paper Tale, a visual, non-verbal theatre piece crafted entirely from paper.
In November 2025, she created her new work, Dive, a visual project in which she explores cardboard as the central material, continuing to deepen her artistic research around material, image, and movement.
She currently lives and creates in France, continuing to develop new artistic projects that cross borders, languages, and disciplines.
